68 pounds of pure awesome

This kid. . .

will scratch up his entire arms to climb a tree.  Because conquering the tree is way cooler than any stupid scrapes.

will endure hands full of cacti to pull the fruit off of it, just to say he's eaten cactus fruit.

will do a back flip in the living room just because he thinks he can, and then he will teach his brother.

will decide to climb the walls and fall from the ceiling.

will bring home cook books ear marked so he can bake something and then will successfully bake a black forest cherry cake.  By himself.

This kid will set up his own traps in the backyard in hopes of capturing any animal.  But he's always hopeful for a bird.

He will research birds and learn the different types so well he can point them out while taking a walk.

He can run insanely fast and catch impossible passes.  He taught me what "juke" means and the value of losing my voice while cheering him on.

This kid is not bothered by speaking in front of people or laughing at himself.

He will try any food set in front of him and likes most of it.

He loves holding babies and will sit contentedly holding one for over an hour.

He is not embarrassed by his mom coming to school to eat lunch with him and will even give me a hug and kiss in front of his friends.

He's a dreamer, charmer, crazy, stubborn, silly, loving, wonderful kid.

Like I said.  He's 68 pounds of pure awesome.
