Crafting is like crack. Pink sparkly crack.

I have a friend, let's call her Marci, mostly because that's her name, and she has nagged lovingly pointed out that I do not post enough pictures.  I make downright awesome crafts and do I post a pic?  No.  I do not.  Largely do to the fact that I don't think about it until I've given it away and then I'm all "dang it, would it be rude to ask for it back just to take some pictures of it"?  And because I'm so sweet in my demeanor, I realise that yes, it would be rude and therefore have no pictures of the pure awesomeness created in my very own kitchen/craft room.  Soooooooo, Marci has no choice but to doubt the awesomeness of said crafts because I have no proof.

I have seen the error of my ways.

Marci not only makes kick butt crafts, she also posts pictures and tutorials. She is clearly on top of her game. But since I refuse to be outdone. Here ya go. Oh and I don't have tutorials on mine because some of them are made up.  And I can't remember where I got the ideas half the time.  Because that's how I roll. See I can make crafting cool. Word.

Stockings I made out of old sweaters from the thrift store.

Decorations I made for our Christmas party out of poster board and wrapping paper.
Our chore chart.  Magnets on the back so you can move them around.

I'm not sure what this thing was but I grabbed it from the bulk trash, spray painted it and mod podged some clothes pins to attach things on.  It's in Aliya's room.

Aliya and her bestie Hallie.

Sheri, Amber and myself at our party.

Boys in Dylan's hole, because yay hole!

Pillows I made for our couch.

Big sister, little sister

Me: I got your presents today!
Sheri: {hint of a jig} really?  I have yours too.
{taking off my shoes while she does a sort of half dance half shuffle of what I can only assume is joy}
Me: I really hope you like it!  I kept the receipt in case.
Sheri: I hate waiting!
Me: I know, I want to show you now!
Sheri:  Let's do it!  No one has to know, I'll wrap it up when we're done and we'll act all surprised!
Me: But where's the fun in that?  No, you have to wait, it will make it more exciting.
Sheri: But. . .I want you to see yours now!
Me: It will make it more fun to wait.
Sheri:  Oh fine.  {major sad face she used on me when she was five.}

It took a lot of courage on my part to walk away from that face, but I did it.  It is the reason she was never spanked when she was little though and I would babysit.  "The List" of all her wrongs I would so diligently make while my parents were away somehow ended up in the trash every time.
This is the first year I don't know what she's getting me before Christmas.
I only have to hold out for 13 more days.

"But I can see my breath! Well I could yesterday"

It was quite dangerous actually.  Perilous even.  What would we do if we broke down?  Would anyone hear our cries for help?  How long could we last on gold fish crackers and school lunches.  I mean, according to my kids we were in just as much probability of being stranded in the deathly cold as those in New York were recently.

Oh, wait.

It's only 49 degrees?
Maybe we will make it to school without dying.

At least I will.  My kids are "freezing".

How could I possibly ask them to brave the wintry cold of Arizona?

Oh the humanity, people.

And to think, they only have jackets, not parkas.

Someone call CPS.
